FWP: Why isn’t more entertainment geared to us old farts?
CSO: What about all the old music you listen to?

FWP: But there’s no new stuff that focuses on our concerns. There are 75 million Baby Boomers, give or take a few, and we’re being ignored!
CSO: Remember when they canceled Longmire? The argument was that we don’t buy the stuff the advertisers want to sell.

FWP: Hm. I suppose there isn’t much of a profit margin on laxatives. Wait, what about badly behaved young people? West Side Story was a smash. Shouldn’t there be something else about that by now?
CSO: Don’t Clockwork Orange and Lord of the Flies count?

FWP: Naah. Too violent. What we need is something about bashed-in mailboxes and teenagers messing up lawns.
CSO: Gran Torino.
FWP: Okay, I’ll give you that one.

I loved "West Side Story" ...the second time I saw it was in Barcelona in 1962. Had English subtitles. 'Maria' sung in Spanish was a knock-out for this grunt Marine. I was blessed to grow up in the fifties, and for being slightly ahead of the baby-boomers. We have lived in the best years, best nation this world ever had, FWP.

Longmire. Yes. I was ... disturbed when it was cancelled. An enjoyable very low-key show.
